Rob has an MBA from the Open University and a BSc (Hons) in Geography from the University of Lancaster. Graduating in 1996 he joined the Linklaters IT graduate programme where he worked for 13 years as a software developer obtaining qualifications including Microsoft MCP, MCAD and MCSD, before becoming a solution architect, BA and finally a project manager (Prince 2 practitioner); responsible for the design and implementation for some of the firms key personnel, DMS integration and compliance systems. It was during his time at Linklaters that they sponsored Rob for his MBA course. Following Linklaters, Rob worked with LexisNexis for 6 years as a project and programme manager on a wide range of software and publishing projects. Working closely with the Contract Express team, he delivered the LexisSmart product before migrating the vendor to Exari at a later stage. Rob also led the programme team to deliver the firm’s LexisStyle product, a programme of work with over 100 people involved across many departments and locations. Owing to Rob’s successful track record for delivery, he was also widely used by different departments to rescue projects that were in trouble or failing. In 2015 Rob joined Freshfields as part of the Drive programme where he led the implementation of IntApp Walls into the business as well as working alongside Athenian on the Intake project, running a small internal team to set up 3E database that was to be used by the Open project.
Rob is an Associate Consultant.
